Yosemite National Park

When we arrived in Yosemite National Park in September 2010 we were immediately greeted with a smokey haze and the smell of burning wood.  The park's main entrance had just reopened to traffic after more than a week of destruction from the Big Meadow Fire.   Although contained, the smoldering fire created an eerie, unusual environment.
